The court requires a DMV-approved course, but this research did not independently verify that GoToTrafficSchool is currently listed by the DMV or accepted by Riverside Superior Court. Before enrolling with GoToTrafficSchool for ticket-related credit, check the court’s traffic-school instructions and confirm the course is acceptable for your case. The court notice or official case record identifies your deadline and assigned location.
GoToTrafficSchool describes its California Traffic School course as online and self-paced. That is a company description, not independent verification of current DMV licensure or local court acceptance. View the company’s California course information; do not enroll for Riverside ticket credit until the court confirms the course and your eligibility.
Riverside County traffic-school eligibility and court request
Riverside Superior Court says you may qualify when the citation is for a moving violation under the California Vehicle Code, you have not attended traffic school for another violation in the prior 18 months, you were not driving a commercial vehicle when cited, and the citation is not for alcohol or drugs or a violation requiring a mandatory court appearance. For speeding citations, the court says the speed must not have been more than 25 mph over the posted limit. These are court-published criteria; check your notice and ask the court about your specific case if eligibility is unclear. Riverside Superior Court traffic-school criteria
The court says traffic school can be requested online, by telephone at 951-222-0384 or 951-777-3147, in person at a traffic location, or by mail to its Payment Processing Center. The court gives separate regional codes to provide to the school: 33460 for the Western Region and 33450 for the Desert Region. Follow the official instructions for any court obligations; enrollment and course tuition are separate. Court instructions and options
The court sets the course-completion deadline for your case. Do not assume enrollment extends your response deadline. Riverside Superior Court states that one 60-day extension from the appearance date is available through its online service, by mail, or its automated phone system; contact a clerk for an extension beyond that period. Confirm any extension and revised date with the court. Extension information
California traffic school does not erase the citation. For eligible noncommercial drivers, completing court-approved traffic school may keep a point from appearing on the DMV record visible to insurers. Commercial-license rules differ; ask the court about your case. Neither course enrollment nor completion itself resolves other court obligations.

Responding to a Riverside County traffic ticket
Use the citation or courtesy notice to identify the responsible court, the deadline, and whether traffic school is available. Riverside Superior Court offers separate services to search court records, pay or manage a traffic ticket, and schedule help with a traffic clerk. The case-search portal is for case information; ePay-it is the court-linked ticket-management service. If your citation is not yet visible online, contact the court rather than treating the missing result as an extension or cancellation of your deadline.
Paying a citation can be treated as resolving it without contesting it. If you want to contest the citation, Riverside Superior Court describes trial by written declaration and court-trial options. Read the court’s instructions and forms before choosing a process; this guide does not recommend a plea. Riverside traffic procedures
If you request traffic school, verify the court recorded your request, confirm the completion deadline, and ask how the court will receive and record completion. The court says to provide the applicable regional court code to the school. Do not assume that a course provider’s certificate or a report to one agency automatically satisfies every court requirement.
