3 easy steps
- Complete the online course

GoToTrafficSchool lists a self-paced online course for Georgia, but its acceptance for a Cherokee County traffic case is not verified. If your citation or court order says to complete a course, contact the court named on your notice before enrolling and ask whether it accepts this specific provider and online course, what deadline applies, and how to submit proof.
Georgia’s regulated Driver Improvement course is different: the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) says online classes are not accepted for driver-license purposes. GoToTrafficSchool’s course is not established as DDS-approved for points reduction, reinstatement, or other licensing requirements. Check the DDS Driver Improvement information and certified-school directory if you need a state-regulated course.
Before responding to a Cherokee County traffic citation
Read the citation and any later notice for the assigned court, response instructions, and date. Do not assume that a course enrollment responds to the ticket or changes a court deadline.
Cherokee County’s traffic-citation instructions say citations issued by Georgia State Patrol or the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office as the result of a traffic accident are “Must See Judge” offenses and cannot be paid online. The county says other citations are usually available in its online payment system about 7–10 business days after issuance. A separate State Court payment page says to allow at least 10 business days. If your citation is not visible, or you are unsure which instruction applies, contact the State Court Clerk; a missing online record does not extend a deadline.
The county lists online, phone, in-person, and mail payment options for eligible State Court citations. Payment is separate from course enrollment and has court consequences. For contest or appearance instructions, follow the citation and contact the assigned court.
Cherokee County State Court: traffic contact and services
Cherokee County State Court processes misdemeanor and traffic criminal cases filed with its Clerk. The citation or later official notice identifies the court assigned to your case; do not infer assignment from the town where you live or where the citation was issued.

Mills, III Justice Center, 90 North Street, Canton, GA 30114 | State Court Clerk, criminal/traffic: 678-493-6550. The State Court payment page warns that accident-related citations identified as “Must See Judge” require an appearance on the date shown on the citation and are not payable online. It also says citations that cannot be paid online will not appear in the payment system. Use the official payment links above only to check or pay eligible matters; call the Clerk if you cannot locate your citation or need clarification.
Choosing a course: court requirements, DDS requirements, and insurance
GoToTrafficSchool displays a Georgia “Traffic School” course, including a Spanish-language version, and describes the course as self-paced and online. Those are company statements. Acceptance by Cherokee County State Court for your specific case has not been independently verified. The company’s registration information says court permission is required. Confirm acceptance, permission, the deadline, and certificate-delivery instructions with the court before enrolling.
Do not use this online product as a substitute for DDS Driver Improvement when a licensing requirement applies. DDS says its regulated course is a six-hour classroom course and that online classes are not accepted for driver-license purposes. Completing a course by itself does not establish that a ticket is dismissed, a conviction is masked, points are reduced, or a license requirement is satisfied.
Georgia law provides an insurance premium reduction in specified circumstances, but whether this particular GoToTrafficSchool course qualifies has not been verified. Ask your insurer whether the exact course meets the policy and statutory requirements before relying on a potential benefit. Insurance-course questions are separate from a court’s decision about a ticket.
Questions about traffic school and tickets in Cherokee County
Can I take GoToTrafficSchool for a Cherokee County ticket?
Its acceptance for Cherokee County cases is not verified. Contact the court identified on your citation before enrolling and ask whether it accepts this provider’s online course for your specific case.
Does GoToTrafficSchool count for Georgia DDS points reduction?
That has not been verified. DDS says driver-license purposes require a DDS-certified Driver Improvement school and do not accept online classes. Check the official DDS directory and follow DDS instructions.
When should my citation appear online?
Cherokee County’s Solicitor-General page says many eligible citations are available in about 7–10 business days. The State Court payment page says to allow at least 10 business days. If your citation is not listed, contact the State Court Clerk at 678-493-6550 and follow the deadline on your citation or notice.
Can I pay a citation from a traffic accident online?

Does taking a course replace responding to the citation?
No. Course enrollment does not itself respond to a citation or change its deadline. Follow the citation and instructions from the assigned court.
Will this course lower my insurance premium?
That is not verified for this specific course. Georgia’s statutory reduction has eligibility and course requirements. Ask your insurer whether the exact course qualifies and what policy coverages are affected.
