State Approved Traffic School and Defensive Driving Online

Many fly-by-night online traffic schools claim to be "approved" in certain states and courts, when, in fact, they are not. If you take an unapproved course, chances are the court of issuance will reject your certificate of completion and you will have to contact the traffic school for a refund. This is more than an inconvenience, this will cost you time, money, and could result in you missing your court due date and having a ticket end up on your record.

At GoToTrafficSchool.com, we encourage all of our customers to check with the court of issuance prior to enrolling in one of our courses. As one of the largest and most-trusted traffic schools in the country, GoToTrafficSchool.com has statewide approvals in over 15 states, plus hundreds of individual courts and counties.

APPROVED!

if your state says "Approved", that means that GoToTrafficSchool.com has been approved statewide. The certificate of completion you will receive from taking our approved course is fully recognized by either the state or county regulatory agency as a means of ticket dismissal or point reduction.

CHECK WITH YOUR COURT!

if your state says “Check With Court,” that means our program is approved on a court-by-court basis, and while some courts may approve it as a means of ticket dismissal, others may not. Call your court of issuance for further information.

Traffic School Frequently Asked Questions

How much cash do I have to spend to take your online auto insurance reduction course?
The cost of GoToTrafficSchool.com's internet insurance reduction course varies from state to state.  However, we offer the lowest prices in our industry.  If you find a competitor in your state which offers the same type of class at a lower price, give us a call and we'll beat that price.

How do the driver safety classes that GoToTrafficSchool.com offers online actually work?
Basically, there are two (2) types of internet traffic school courses that GoToTrafficSchool.com offers:  ticket dismissal and insurance reduction.  GoToTrafficSchool.com's online class may be taken on any computer with internet capability, and you are free to stop and start as often as you want (without losing your completed work).  The class is divided into chapters and each chapter into various sections.  A short quiz (all multiple-choice), is given at the end of each chapter to help prepare you for the final exam (the quizzes however, are not graded).  After you have passed the course's final exam, GoToTrafficSchool.com will send your completion certificate to you by regular mail, or by FedEx (you will be asked to choose a shipping option when you first register to take the internet course).
GoToTrafficSchool.com's defensive driving or traffic school online class looks very long. Do I have to take it all in one sitting?
No, you don't.  GoToTrafficSchool.com's internet defensive driving or ticket dismissal or insurance reduction class is designed so you are free to stop as as often as you want and then pick up from where you left off.  There is no limit to the lengths of your breaks, either.
Will my court approve my taking GoToTrafficSchool.com's driver safety internet course to have my ticket dismissed?
When you register to take GoToTrafficSchool.com's traffic school internet course, you will be asked to select the state where you received your traffic citation.  GoToTrafficSchool.com will give you approval details and other relevant information concerning the defensive driving class that you want to register for.  However, to be on the safe side, we do recommend that you contact the local traffic court which is handling your case to see if GoToTrafficSchool.com is approved for ticket dismissal in that particular state.  After all, the court, not GoToTrafficSchool.com, has the authority to dismiss your traffic ticket.
I have received tickets prior to this one. Can I still take GoToTrafficSchool.com's ticket dismissal internet course to have this new ticket taken off my driving record?
It depends on several things.  First off, most states will allow you to have only one (1) ticket removed from your driving record over a certain period of time (in some states it's one year, in other states it could be as much as five years).  Second, there are certain traffic violations which many states will not erase from your record, even if you do take a defensive driving course.  An example would be if you were driving recklessly and severely injured someone as a result.  GoToTrafficSchool.com can provide you with approval information if you click on "Register" and then select the state where you received your ticket.  If you are still not sure if you are eligible, it would be best for you to call the local court which is handling your case and find out if they will dismiss your ticket if you successfully complete GoToTrafficSchool.com's driver improvement online course.
Can I take GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving class in place of taking driver safety in a classroom?
Yes, but you will need to first check with the court to see if GoToTrafficSchool.com's internet traffic school class is approved for auto insurance reduction in your jurisdiction.  If so, you will be able to take our online class from any computer and have your ticket dismissed.
Would taking the GoToTrafficSchool.com driver improvement online class allow to have more than (1) traffic citation dismissed?
No.  In almost every case, a court will only allow you to take GoToTrafficSchool.com's internet defensive driving course if you are removing a single traffic citation only.

Also, it's very likely that your court will only allow you to have one (1) traffic citation dismissed over a 12-24 month period (and in some states, it could be 1 dismissal every 5 years).  So if you've recently had a prior traffic ticket removed, you may not be able to get a more recent traffic citation removed from your driving record.

To find out if your current traffic ticket qualifies for dismissal, please go to GoToTrafficSchool.com's website, click on the state and jurisdiction where you received your traffic citation, and review the eligibility information.  If none is available, please call the traffic court which is handling your case to see which, if any, of our current traffic tickets can be erased from your record by taking a ticket dismissal course.
How can GoToTrafficSchool.com confirm my identity if I'm taking their driver safety course online instead of in a classroom?
If the traffic court which is handling your case does not require that your identity be verified, than there's no problem.  However, if your traffic court does need your identity to be confirmed, then you may have to take a proctored final exam, have your final exam answer sheet notarized, or possibly submit to a limited credit check.  When you sign up to take GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving class, we will let you know at that time if your particular court requires identity verification.  If they do, please understand it is only to help prevent fraud by making sure that a defendant who wants to have a traffic violation removed from their driving record is in fact the person who takes the defensive driving course and final exam.
Is GoToTrafficSchool.com's ticket dismissal class only offered online, or are there alternative formats available as well?
Yes, in addition to the internet format, GoToTrafficSchool.com offers DVD or workbook or streaming video defensive driving classes.  For a listing of available courses and formats in your area, please click on "Register Now" and select your state or the state where you received your ticket (if different from your state of residence).
Do I need to worry about my class time expiring if I don't complete the internet driver safety class all in one day?
Most of GoToTrafficSchool.com's online auto insurance reduction courses do expire, but usually not for 180 days after you register with GoToTrafficSchool.com.  To be safe, GoToTrafficSchool.com will email you reminder notices if your online class is inactive for long periods of time.
