1. What is a home study traffic school course?
A home study traffic school course is exactly what it says. Rather than going to a facility to take a traffic school course you can satisfy your traffic school requirement at home. You can take our traffic school course on the internet all at once or one section at a time until you have completed the course.

2. What is the difference between taking traffic school at home and taking traffic school in a classroom?
The material that is covered in a classroom is similar to the material that is covered in our Internet course. When you take the course in a traditional classroom you are lectured to by one or more instructors. The instructors generally follow an outline provided by the DMV. Our course follows the same outline. Essentially, the only difference between the two mediums is that one allows you to study the materials in your own home and on your own terms, whereas when you take the course in a classroom you are required to travel to the class and listen to a lecture for several hours at a time.

3. Why should I take your course as opposed to the other Internet courses?
There are many reasons why we feel our course is superior to other online courses. Listed below are just a few of the reasons:

(1) Our course is well researched and well written. People who have little or no experience in the field of traffic laws write many of our competitors' courses. Our course has been written by people who have dedicated much of their time and energy to the field of traffic safety laws.

(2) If you have a question while going through the registration process or the course you do not need to log off of your computer to call us and then log back on. You can click a button right on our website and talk to one of our customer representatives live. You type in your question and our customer representative will immediately type a reply.

(3) Our course is user friendly. You do not need to print out any forms, fax forms back and forth to us or use e-mail. Everything you will need to do to get your Certificate of Completion can be done online. A team of expert computer engineers, architects and designers, using the most sophisticated tools on the market, designed our site. This will help make your experience easier and more enjoyable because you are able to go through the registration process and the course very quickly. Some other Internet traffic schools use basic programs to make their web site. This can significantly increase the download time, requiring you to sit around and wait until the computer has downloaded the necessary information and graphics before you can move on. We believe this detracts from the convenience of taking traffic school on the Internet. Thus, we have designed a course that allows you to rapidly move through everything from the registration to the final exam in a short period of time. Before signing up for a course you should make sure you can get your money back because if downloading becomes a time consuming task you have just taken away the convenience of internet traffic school.

(4) Our web site is fun. Since you have to spend several hours looking at our web site we have tried to make it as aesthetically appealing as possible. The illustrations that appear throughout the Go To Traffic School site are the works of renowned cartoonists Andre Noel, Hugo Hidalgo and Fabian Debora.

4. How do I know if I am eligible for traffic school online?
The laws in each state vary. Some states allow traffic school online and other do not. In California, traditional classroom traffic schools are regulated by the Department of Motor Vehicles. However, each court has jurisdiction over home study traffic schools. If your court currently authorizes home study traffic school then they may also authorize Internet traffic school. If they do not you can contact the court and request this option. It will be up to the presiding judge or commissioner to allow you to take traffic school on the Internet. If the judge (or commissioner) allows you to take the course on the Internet you can simply register online and take our course.

5. My due date for attending traffic school has passed what should I do?
You may be allowed to get an extension. You should first contact the traffic court clerk either in person or by phone and ask what your particular court's procedures are with regard to granting extensions. Some courts will grant you extensions over the telephone and other courts will require that you go to the court in person and ask for an extension. If you are not successful in getting an extension you can ask the clerk if you can make a court appearance in order to see the judge. Some courts will allow you to see the judge on certain days for such matters and some will make an appointment for you to see the judge. On the day of your court appearance you should go to court and ask the judge for the extension. If you have a valid reason for letting your due date slip by the judge may grant you an extension. Keep in mind that judges are extremely busy and will not appreciate your appearance if you do not have a valid reason as to why you need an extension.

6. If I am not eligible to attend traffic school because I have already attended the maximum number of hours that is allowed is there any way I can go to traffic school again?
Each state has certain limits on how many times a person is allowed to attend traffic school in a given period of time. In California, for example, CVC Section 41501 gives the judge the discretion to allow you to go to traffic school, even when you have already attended traffic school in the past eighteen months. You must make a court appearance and ask the judge. The judge may grant your request and he may deny it. It is completely in his or her sole discretion.

7. What if I take your course and I am not satisfied can I stop in the middle without losing my money?
Yes. All online traffic schools require you to read voluminous amounts of material on the computer and answer questions related to the material. Not all of the courses are well written and easy to follow and understand. When a course is not easy to understand the learning experience is diminished and it takes you longer to finish it. You can start our course and if after taking the first few sections you find that you are not comfortable with the material we will refund all of your money. However, if you finish the course and receive your certificate of completion we will assume that you liked our course and your money will not be refundable.

8. Can I get an extension to complete traffic school?
If your due date is coming up and you need an extension you need to either write, call or go to the court in person and request an extension. Courts generally grant extensions when they are requested before the due date. If you wait until after the due date you may have to make a court appearance and ask the judge for an extension.

9. What if my court does not allow me to take traffic school on the Internet?
You can make an appearance and ask the judge if you can take Go To Traffic School via the Internet. If you have extenuating circumstances which inhibit you from attending traffic school in a physical classroom the judge may grant you special permission to take Internet traffic school. If you are successful in obtaining the judge's approval you can call us and we will make arrangements for you to take our course.

10. What if I don't know my Court Docket, Ticket, Case, or Citation numbers as required on your registration form?
You can make up numbers to fill in the registration form for now. Later, when you find out the correct numbers, go to "Edit Profile" from the syllabus menu and change those entries. Remember, it is your responsibility to make sure that the court credits you for taking the course, so you will need to correct this information before we send your certificate of completion.

11. Does the court have to receive my certificate of completion by the due date or can my certificate of completion be postmarked on my due date?
Each court has its own set of policies with regard to traffic school due dates. Some courts require that your certificate of completion be in their office by the due date and courts will give you automatic grace periods even after the due date. Contact the Clerk of Court in the county where you received your ticket and they can answer any questions regarding your due date.

12. When I take traffic school why do I have to pay the court and pay you?
