Do I have to take the whole Florida Online Defensive Driving Traffic School Course at once?
Got a busy schedule? No problem! You do not have to complete the Florida Online Defensive Driving Traffic School Course in one sitting and may start and stop the course as often as necessary. Our program will resume where you left off! You may take this course only once per 12 months.
Is GoToTrafficSchool.com approved in Florida?
Our 4-hour online Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) and 4-hour online Court Ordered courses are approved in by the Florida Department of Highway Motor Vehicle Safety. In order to register for the BDI course, you must have a 7-character citation number. In order to register for the Court-Ordered course, you must have a 13-20 character case number from the Judge. We also offer a Florida approved online 8 hour intermediate driver improvement course and a 12 hour advanced driver improvement course.
How long does the course take?
The Florida Online Basic Driver Improvement Course consists of 10 chapters. You must spend a minimum of 4 hours on the course before you can take the final exam.
What is the price of the course?
We offer four courses in Florida: 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement for Ticket Dismissal, the 4-hour Court Ordered program, the 8-hour Intermediate Driver Improvement program, and the 12-hour Advanced Driver Improvement program. Prices vary so please refer to the product and price list above.

You can pay by credit card, check or online check. You must pay for the course before gaining access to the course materials. All student information is processed using SSL-encryption technology. All credit card and online check information is processed via our secure payment processing company, Authorize.net.
Do I have to verify my identity during the course?
There are no security questions in this course.
Do I need to use the same computer every time I log in?
No. You can take the course from any computer with internet access.
How do the quizzes work?
There are quizzes after each chapter. The quizzes are meant to prepare you for the final exam and will not count against your overall course score.
How do I take my final exam?
You must score at least an 75% (32 out of 40 questions) to pass the exam. You may take the final exam up to 5 times at no additional charge. If you fail all 5 times, you will fail and will have to retake the whole course.
How do I get my certificate of completion?
1. We will report your completion to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
2. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will issue a certificate of completion number, which will be printed on your certificate.
3. We will also mail the certificate of completion to you. Your certificate will be mailed either the same day or the next business day. When registering, you can choose to have your certificate sent via regular US mail, FedEx second day delivery, FedEx overnight delivery, or via email. FedEx does not deliver on Sundays.
4. You are responsible for delivering your certificate to the court.
Can I get a refund?
You may request a refund at any time before taking the final exam. However, we do not issue refunds for courses after you take the final exam. If you are taking the 8- or 12- hour course, you must request a refund from our approved partner, the American Safety Council.
